Facilitating Entomological Research

IPSIO aims to promote and encourage entomological research in the Malagasy region and connect international researchers with local needs.

IPSIO, through the Madagascar Biodiversity Center can provide the following to researcher
  • Collection permits
  • Logistics: vehicle rental, driver, lodging
  • Airport transfers
  • Background (literature, gazetteer)
  • Priorities of research
  • Chemicals (etoh)
  • Equipment/storage
  • Access to botanists

In return, researchers will provide
  • Student training
  • Lectures
  • Madagascar National Park staff training
  • Review and template for required reports for collection permit reports 
  • Support for DEAU, MSc. and PhD students
  • Return of paratypes and representative of common species collected
